Policy and Management Support Unit
In order to ensure efficient and effective programme and
project management and administration, the UNDP Programmes team works closely with the Operations team comprised of the Policy and Management Support Unit, the Financial Management Unit, the Human Resources Unit, the ICT Unit, the Administrative Service Unit, and the Procurement and Logistics Unit.
The Policy and Management Support Unit (PMSU) is the latest addition the UNDP Country Office, established in July 2008. The Unit's main objective is to improve development and organizational effectiveness of UNDP work in Lao PDR, including strengthening the cohesion and synergies between Programme and Operations and between the Country Office and Projects. While belonging to the Operations team, PMSU also manages an important umbrella project for developing national capacity for better ODA programme/project management, which is implemented by DIC/MPI.
