Anti-littering Campaign in Luang Prabang

UN supports flood relief effort and Sekong Development Project

The UN and its partners are supporting the government in coordinating its relief efforts.
In a gesture of solidarity, UN staff members joined the ranks of the Lao volunteers and helped with sandbagging efforts along the Mekong River in Vientiane and at the airport.
20 August 2008 - Government management and service to communities are being improved by the Government Public Administration Reform Project in Xekong province.
The project began in 2007 and will finish in 2011. It is supported by the United Nations Development Programme, United Nations Volunteers and United Nations Capital Development Fund.
